The FILTERPES cartridges are manufactured using the unique polyethersulphone membrane and polypropylene supports. FILTERPES cartridges are manufactured in clean room, they are 100% tested before shipment to assure safety and traceability and they are “in situ” testable, according the standard integrity test procedure. The product doesn’t have any surfactants or binding materials in order to meet the requirement for not fibers releasing. FILTERPES is available with the following micron ratings: 0.1 μm, 0.2 μm; 0.45 μm, 0.65 μm, 0.8 μm and 1.2 μm with the standard length of 10”; 20”; 30”; 40” for classic configuration, and of 2,5 – 5 inch for Junior configuration. It may be sterilized by steam or in autoclave. The polyethersulphone and the polypropylene that are the only 2 materials into the cartridges have low protein binding in order to have safety during the process filtration. The construction materials of this cartridge, polyethersulfone and polypropylene, are biologically inerts and have low protein-binding characteristics, avoiding accidental alterations of filtrate. FilterPES greatest strength derives from the use of a unique mirrored Polyethersulphone membrane, with an asymetric pore size distribution. This membrane produces a cartridge with exceptionally high flow rates, long onstream life consistent removal of microorganisms and inorganic particulates. All components meet USP Class VI Plastic Biosafety criteria and requirements of 1935/2004/CE regulation on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
