How tough is it? Tuff-Pleat is manufactured with proprietary blends of polyester and microglass media supported with epoxy coated steel reinforcement and corrosion resistant steel hardware. This construction increases the element’s structural strength and prevents pleat deformation that can lead to less than optimal media utilization. Synthetic medias are well known for their resistance to swelling in aqueous solutions, have outstanding chemical compatibility and high dirt holding capacities. Combine these properties in a single element and you have the Tuff-Pleat.
